Who the Service covers

To take out and use the Service, you must be resident in the United Kingdom.

Term of the Service (Subscription Period)

Unless otherwise stated, the Subscription Period is 30 days from the most recent payment. The subscription renews automatically for a further period of the same length until you cancel the Service.

Renewal follows the payment interval you chose when you took out the Service.

Support and legal assistance cover only matters that are governed by the law of England and Wales and handled by UK authorities, companies or courts.

What the Service includes

ID monitoring

ID monitoring includes, among other things, monitoring of registered login details linked to email addresses, National Insurance numbers and payment card details that you have registered yourself.

You must actively register the data you want monitored.

If we detect activity that may indicate fraud, we inform you and guide you on the appropriate next steps.

You can contact us free of charge for advice and support.

Assistance in the event of identity theft

Identity theft means that your identity is used without your consent for financial gain.

The assistance may include, among other things:

The Service includes legal advice of up to 20 hours per claim.

Assistance is provided in no more than two cases per calendar year.

Price and payment

The subscription price is stated during ordering and confirmed in the order confirmation. All prices include VAT.

Payment is made in advance by debit or credit card.

If the payment cannot be processed, we may temporarily invoice you to avoid interrupting the Service. A fee of £[PRICE] is charged for payment by invoice.

General terms

Validity of the Service

The Service takes effect the day after receipt of the order confirmation and remains in force until it is cancelled.

SkimSafe is only responsible for incidents that occur during an active Subscription Period.

Incorrect or incomplete information

If incorrect or misleading information is provided, SkimSafe may limit or refuse assistance to the extent that is reasonable.

Security obligations

You must take reasonable steps to prevent identity theft. If gross negligence is established, the assistance may be limited.

Cancelling the Service

You can cancel the Service at any time via your account on the Portal.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current Subscription Period. Amounts already paid are not refunded.

Right to cancel (cooling-off period)

You have the right to cancel the agreement within 14 days without giving any reason, in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. The period runs from the day you receive the order confirmation.

By completing the order, you request that the Service begins immediately. If you cancel after the Service has been activated, we may charge a proportionate amount for the time the Service has been active. As the first 30 days are free, cancelling within the trial period costs you nothing.

To cancel, simply let us know, for example by emailing info@skimsafe.se.

Force majeure

SkimSafe is not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond SkimSafe's reasonable control.

Reporting an incident

Incidents must be reported to SkimSafe without undue delay and no later than 6 months after you became aware of them.

Processing of personal data

Personal data is processed in accordance with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and applicable law. Data may be shared with partners and processors inside or outside the UK/EEA, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Assignment of the agreement

You may not assign rights and obligations without SkimSafe's written consent.

SkimSafe may assign the agreement in whole or in part, for example in the event of a sale of the business.
